Deliberative democracy, active citizenship, participative democracy, all mean one thing: engaging people to participate in the life of their communities. I am one of those who believe that citizens can and want to engage in solving community problems. However, finding the right solution to a problem of public concern is not an easy task. That is why "Public policies made by citizens" is a tool that helps people express their creativity and find pertinent solutions to community problems.

I am currently studying for my PhD Degree in Economics at Lower Danube University in Romania and earned my Master of Public Policy Degree from Peppedine University School of Public Policy in Malibu, California, United States.

As the Executive Director for SMART Association, I am in charge of developing and coordinating a new model of citizen engagement that is based mainly on online platforms. I founded SMART Association in 2003, to bring a contribution to raising the level of civic participation among citizens. I strongly believe that we can be more active if we have access to more efficient means of expressing our opinions.

Ever since 1999, I have been involved in various projects for student, youth and professional organizations. Besides SMART Association, I am a close partner of the Young Entrepreneurs from Romania Association, the Association of Sustainable Development from Slatina and the Group of Young People's Social Debate. I am also a consultant of information technology and advertising.
