The aim of our partnership proposal is to engage more people in offering solutions to the problems posted on our website and to the problems that are important to a specific public institution. We also want to offer prizes to those people who propose the most feasible solutions and that will be implemented by the public institution.
Methodology: Our partnership proposal is based on a few straight forward steps:
- The representative of the public institution makes a call for solutions to a problem that is important to his/her constituency. An official invitation is thus made to citizens, to recommend the best lines of action.
The invitation is made in a video format and text, and is published on www.public-policies.org, along with a brief documentation about the problem. The invitation can also be launched during a press conference. The content of the documentation is provided by the public institution, so that citizens get a better idea about the problem they can provide solutions to.
- Those people who want to offer solutions, will access the link related to the problem and fill out a brief online form with their recommendation. The platform will also guide the people to provide a feasible, sustainable and valuable solution.
- A representative of the public institution, along with our consultants in African Studies, will choose the best solution/s that will be implemented by the public institution.
- A representative of the public institution will offer a prize or more prizes to the people who offer the best solution/s, during an event.
Advantages:
- The people will use our platform, www.public-policies.org, to generate solutions in their spare time, free of charge, anywhere they have an Internet connection.
- Anybody may offer solutions, regardless the country they come from, but only if the solution is relevant to the problem published on the website.
- The time that the representative of the public institution is using to launch a call for solutions to a particular problem is approximately two minutes, if teh invitation is not made during a press conference as well.
- The public institution will receive the solutions of the citizens in an official document, that will also mention the names, professions, education, and contacts of those who participated in the call for solutions. The solutions will also be available on our website, for public endorsement.
- The website, www.public-policies.org generates solutions and not complaints.
- People from all over the world may offer solutions, if they are related to the problem.
